We all know Magic Kingdom Park in Disney World or Disneyland Park at Disneyland Resort. But, did you know there are actually twelve different Disney Parks around the world?

How Many Disney Parks Are There?
In total, there are twelve different Disney Parks that are spread across six different locations. Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, and Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California are the two American locations. In Europe, you’ll find Disneyland Paris in Paris, France. Then there’s Hong Kong Disneyland, Shanghai Disneyland in China, and Tokyo Disneyland in Japan. These are the twelve Disney Parks:

But, while there are six different theme park locations, there are actually nine Disney Resorts around the world – and some don’t have any theme parks! Let’s take a look at each park destination and the lesser-known park-less resort vacations.

However, Adventures By Disney and Disney Cruise Line do not have theme parks at any of their destinations or on their itineraries.

1. Disneyland
No vacation to California is complete without spending time at Disneyland and California Adventure!Everyone needs to see the place that started it all and Disney fans will agree: that first step onto Main Street is an emotional one. You can imagine Walt in his apartment, smiling down from the window. If you haven’t gone, you need to go at least once.

2. Walt Disney World
Of course, you know all about the biggest Disney resort on Earth. With Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom, there is something new to do every visit. The Resort is also home to a variety of different hotels (including Value, Moderate, and Deluxe), as well as two water parks and a shopping and dining complex at Disney Springs.

4. Tokyo Disney Resort

5. Shanghai Disney Resort
Shanghai Disneyland is the park for multigenerational once-in-a-lifetime vacations. Attractions are specifically designed for a certain age group while still appealing to everyone! From Jet Packs in Tomorrowland for thrill-seekers to Wishing Star Park where Guests can take leisurely strolls meant for rest and relaxation.

6. Hong Kong Disneyland
Hong Kong Disneyland was the fifth Disney theme park to open in 2005. The park has continued to grow over time, and is opening the first ever Frozen-themed land in November 2023. Aside from the Disney Parks scattered across the world, Disney takes guests to specific destinations through its collection of resorts, Disney Cruise Line sailings, and Adventures by Disney. Here are a few lesser-known Disney vacations to add to your list.
7. Vero Beach Resort
Wait … what’s this? Does Disney have a beach resort?They sure do and it’s right along the Atlantic coast of Florida!There’s golf, shopping, beaches, a state park, and even a nesting ground for sea turtles.Nearby, Indian River Lagoon is home to one-third of the United State’s manatee population and 36 different types of rare and endangered species.

8. Hilton Head Island Resort
With 17 miles of beaches, you’ll soon discover why this resort is perfect for watery fun! Rent banana boats, jet skis, boogie boards, or kayaks—there are over 12 miles of beaches to explore.There’s also a 72,000-gallon pool known as “The Big Dipper,” complete with waterslide. Meet dolphins, enjoy a campfire or play tennis. Head into town for exquisite dining, boutique shops, and art galleries.

9. Aulani, a Disney Resort
The ultimate family vacation begins on the beaches of Ko Olina on the island of Oahu in Hawaii.
